If a tooth is damaged or lost due to trauma, such as a car accident or sports injury, call Emergency Dental as soon as possible. When you come to the office, bring the broken or lost tooth with you. We will take immediate steps to save the tooth and repair the injury.

A painful infection at the root of a tooth or between the gum and a tooth.

Removal of the nerve and pulp of a tooth that is badly decayed or infected in order to repair and save the tooth.

Dental bridges fill the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between.

Emergency Dental can repair retainers or other dental appliances that break.

Decayed teeth can be sensitive and painful. These decayed spaces, called cavities, are repaired with fillings. An Emergency Dental dentist will remove the decayed spot on the tooth, then “fill” that area to seal it and prevent further decay. Fillings also can be used to fix broken or cracked teeth.

Fillings used to repair cavities or repair cracked/broken teeth can fall out or break. These fillings can be replaced at Emergency Dental.

Teeth are extracted, or pulled, to relieve a crowded mouth, remove wisdom teeth, fight gum disease or reduce infection. They are also extracted when they are so broken or decayed they can’t be repaired.

Emergency Dental will evaluate a swollen jaw to check for signs of infection or abscess, tooth decay, gum disease, injury, or wisdom teeth coming in improperly.

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that covers a badly decayed or damaged tooth to restore its shape and size, strengthen it, and/or to improve its appearance.

Fillings, bondings, caps or crowns can be used to repair a tooth that has broken due to a fall, receiving a blow to the face, or biting down on something hard.

As family dentists, our goal is to try to prevent dental emergencies from occurring in the first place. By providing preventive dental exams and cleanings and staying up to date with your oral health needs, we can help you maintain healthy smiles and minimize the need for emergency trips to the dentist in the future. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to one of our locations for your next dental appointment.

Teeth are cleaned by a hygienist to remove built-up plaque and tartar.

We believe that good dental hygiene is important to the wellbeing of any patient.  Therefore, we don’t just fix the immediate dental emergency, but focus on comprehensive evaluations as a way of educating our patients to preventative care and better dental health.

Dental implants are replacement metal posts or frames that are surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath your gums. Once in place, they allow your dentist to mount replacement teeth onto them.

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Emergency Dental can create and fit new dentures for patients, or repair broken dentures.

Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that most people get in their late teens or early 20s. Sometimes these teeth are misaligned and must be removed.

Sedation Dentistry

In addition to the local anesthetic to numb the pain, Emergency Dental of Omaha offers oral sedatives, nitrous oxide, IV Sedation, and other basic sedatives to manage anxiety (Please check with the office to see what is offered. Availability of these sedation services varies with each office).

A Commitment To Leading Edge Technology

All of our emergency dentists have been selected because they offer a warm and supportive environment for their patients. They excel at developing caring relationships with their patients who trust them to deliver the highest standard of care that dentistry offers.

They also have a commitment to leading-edge technology because they know that it improves the comfort and efficiency of your dental care.

Diagnostic equipment like digital x-rays helps our dentists find problems like cavities and infections long before they cause you any discomfort. Intraoral cameras foster a collaborative process because you can understand what your dentist sees when they look in your mouth.

3-D cone beam imaging eliminates guesswork when planning procedures like implant placement and root canal treatment for abscessed teeth. Rotary endodontics dramatically improve the comfort and efficiency of root canals and get you out of the dental chair faster.
